JOHN MURPHY NAMED VP OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS AT CROSSOVER MEDIA GROUP


Former Cadence13 President Joins Leading Content Provider; Will Focus on Development, Revenue Generation Across Podcasting, Satellite Audio and Video

NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, April 15, 2026 – John Murphy, a senior media and ad sales executive with more than 20 years’ experience driving revenue growth across podcasting, digital audio, and broadcast media, as well as more than three decades in advertising, has joined Crossover Media Group as vice president of strategic partnerships.

The move marks a reunion for Murphy with members of the Crossover Media Group team, with whom he’s worked as both a partner and a client.

In this new role Murphy will work to secure new content as well as to expand the company’s client portfolio.

Murphy was senior vice president of content monetization at Veritone, the enterprise AI solutions provider, where he developed scalable revenue models across spoken-word audio and digital media, including content licensing, distribution partnerships, and AI-driven content repurposing.  He previously served as president of Cadence13, one of the industry’s leading podcast networks where he led strategy, operations, and revenue and built integrated capabilities across sales, production, and talent partnerships.   Prior to that, he served as president of WYD Media Ad Sales, which is headed by Crossover Media Group co-founder Ron Hartenbaum.  Murphy’s career has included senior roles at some of the audio industry’s most familiar organizations including the major syndicator Dial Global, where he was executive vice president of talk programming; Premiere Radio Networks, where he was vice president / East Coast regional manager; eYada.com, where he was director of sales; and SFX Radio Network and Westwood One, serving at both firms as national account manager.  He began his extensive media career in the advertising agency world, among other roles serving as a national broadcast buyer for Lintas.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from King’s College.
