Crossover Media Group Sales Adds New Political-Talk Shows To Client Roster

NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Crossover Media Group Sales (CMGS), a cross-platform content-production and advertising-sales representation firm recently launched with offices in New York City and Los Angeles, has added four new political-talk programs to its growing roster of client shows and personalities – the newest to be hosted by a high-profile GOP “never-Trumper.”

Tara Setmayer, a standout CNN political commentator, ABC News contributor, frequent guest host on “The View,” and a former Republican communications director serving on Capitol Hill, has launched a weekly podcast, “Honestly Speaking,” where she brings her voice of reason and signature “tell it like it is” commentary to hot-button political and cultural topics from a “common sense” conservative point of view.

Also joining the CMGS lineup is “Roland Martin Unfiltered,” a newly launched 60-minute show streamed live daily at 6 p.m. from Washington, D.C., on podcast and video-on-demand platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Periscope and Instagram TV. The show, hosted by former CNN political analyst Roland S. Martin, whose social media platforms boast nearly 2 million followers, will cover news, politics, culture, entertainment, social justice, sports, education, business and finance. #RolandMartinUnfiltered is off to a strong start, achieving 1.88 million views of its full shows and show clips in its first week.

The new shows come in addition to two recently launched weekly political podcasts on the CMGS roster. “Man of Steele” features Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee and current MSNBC political contributor. “The Pod Complex” is hosted by Rick Ungar, a Democratic-leaning senior political contributor at and Newsmax TV whose versatile career in business and law has included creating the “Biker Mice from Mars” franchise.

CMGS is assisting in the production of and handling advertising sales for all the shows.

The newest shows add to the CMGS-supported portfolio of political-talk shows featuring such award-winning personalities as popular liberal talk hosts Stephanie Miller and Thom Hartmann, and comedian and commentator Dean Obeidallah, as well as the new programming service Political Voices Network, co-founded by legendary award-winning TV news executive David Bohrman.

U.S. podcast advertising captured $314 million in revenue in 2017, a rise of 86% over $169 million in 2016, according to a recent study by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and conducted by IAB and PwC US. The study forecasts that podcast revenue will surge to $659 million by 2020.
